For someone who claims to read a lot, I'm embarassed to admit that I've never been able to finish reading a Mail & Guardian before the next issue is published. That was until I heard that this was one of the reasons M&G had started their own podcast . M&G Editor Ferial Haffajee , in conversation with host Tony Lankester , noted how the podcast forms a part of M&G's strategy to make their publication more relevant to a younger audience (she was incidentally standing outside the movies as she was interviewed).

As podcasts go, I think this one is a goodie. It has a radio talk-show feel that journeys through the week's edition smoothly (except maybe for the old school jingle interludes). Well worth a weekly download and "read".
