And so, barely an hour after posting on the power situation, I chatted to David O'Sullivan on 702 about my post and had the Council spokesperson respond to my comments. I now have power ... hm, one wonders if a butterfly flapped its wings?

I've found that response to a complaint is almost always better than I expect: (at least 3 different divisions of) Google have been pretty responsive when it comes to fixing bugs I have reported in software, as have Ubuntu. I even have a replacement moleskine being mailed to me all the way from Italy after I complained about a fault.

Now I'm pretty sure the world does not revolve around me, which means that this is more or less how every reasonable, thoughtful complaint or query is dealt with by these companies. This post seems to indicate that this might even be the case with the Ekurhuleni Metro.
