Online reputation

Debora PattaYou know your online reputation is in a mess when a blog entry I've written about you appears on the highest ranked Google search results for your name. You may be thankful that this applies to only one person on the face of the planet - eTV's infamous Debora Patta.

I discovered this tonight as I recieved yet another comment from an adoring Debora fan who somehow thinks this site, and a posting I wrote about her (read it here), is really her personal site and thus a dumping ground for all the bad pubilicity she so easily attracts.

Now look, of late I am happy to indulge in my mean side, and I will publish the comments willingly. Although I suspect that it may also stem from some bitterness at being snubbed by the woman when I offered to help make her new 24-hour news channel a narrative-based news star!

Re: Online reputation

I've always been suspicious of people with fake tans. Call me prejudiced if you will but for me it points to a juvenile personality. It is then so very ironic that Ms Patta conducts her inteviews in such an unseasoned manner.

Persons interviewed by her face being presented in very unflattering and one sided manner, cut off mid sentence or simply insulted point blank. It seems she believes that the person who screams the loudest is right. This of course complete negates any moral high ground she could possibly have hoped to hold.

She has also mistakenly come to the conclusion that her show is hard hitting investigative journalism and that she is a celebrity. The fact that there is no competition whatsoever (Since Charl Pouw left Special Assignment), does not mean that 3rd Degree is any good. There is just nothing else to watch.

Debora Patta is an embarrassment to her profession.
